This is an amazing event. I highly recommend it, especially if you are a small business owner or entrepreneur. It will give you invaluable insights and gear you up to tackle the challenges of entrepreneurship with new zeal.
The Summit is designed to jump-start your business, motivate you, educate you and help you grow, all while connecting you with other high-powered, like-minded businesswomen (and men – yes, men are welcome!). We showcase top-notch speakers from our own backyard and around the country to give you the latest tools, strategies and tactics for your success.
Each year on October 1st dozens of famous landmarks around the world will be illuminated in pink light. Miami is no exception.
This awesome display is done to draw attention to the importance of mammography screening for early diagnosis of breast cancer, as well as the research for finding ways to cure and prevent breast cancer.
Social Media is also stepping up to the challenge of raising awareness, enabling millions worldwide to connect with each other, share their battles with Breast Cancer and raise funds for this worthy cause.
One of the most eye-catching and fun social media initiatives involves YouTube. In November of 2009, a video called “Pink Glove Dance” was created with more than 200 hospital employees of Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, Oregon. They were a YouTube smash!!! Obtaining an astounding over 13 million views. Read more about other breast cancer social media campaigns by clicking here.
This week’s Social Media Rock Star is… (drum roll please)
Ms. Cari Bergnes, personal stylist with Stella and Dot, recently attended one of our social media workshops. She has since caught fire, and started strategically promoting her styling business while helping out causes that are near and dear to her heart.
In conjunction with “The Unforgettables” and the wonderful people at the California Pizza Kitchen in Coral Gables, she helped raise funds this Saturday for Alzheimer’s Research. One lucky supporter won herself a pair of Stella & Dot earrings!!!
Not your grandma’s trunk show
She is also creating a “Virtual Trunk Show” in conjunction with EAT, DRINK, SHOP in honor of FASHION’S NIGHT OUT on Thursday, September 6th. An online trunk show is where you shop till you drop online, from the comfort of your own home. Use this Style Event link to start shopping. The trunk show closes on Friday, September 28th.
This creative and strategic online marketing is pushing Cari up the Stella and Dot ladder of success, and on a part time basis. We are so proud of you Cari. Keep it up!
