How to schedule posts on your Facebook Page

A few people have asked me to write a step by step cheat sheet on how to schedule posts on a Facebook Page.

This is a great way to be strategic about your posts, plan them in advance and make sure you tie in all of your promotions and marketing efforts along with your social media efforts.

Here is how you do it.

STEP 1

Go to your Facebook Page

Click on your Status box

STEP 3

Create a post: text and/or add a photo or video

Click on the CLOCK icon on the bottom left hand side of your status box

STEP 5

Select the year, month, day, hour and minute you want the post to show up on your Page.

Then click Schedule.

Select a time and date for your post

STEP 6

Once you have clicked on Schedule, the notice below will show up. It will confirm the time and day you have selected for your post and it will offer you the opportunity to edit your post by going to the Activity Log.

STEP 7 

This is what the Activity Log looks like. It will show all of the posts you have scheduled to go out in chronological order, as well as the ones you have already posted in the past. You can cancel your post, change the scheduled time or chose to publish it now, by clicking on the arrow on the right hand side of the post.
